When we have lost all our VALUES
the only thing left is a PRICE.
The hard lessons we have learned in the past cannot be forgotten or over looked, by any means, for we are destined to repeat them, and go through the same burden again and again, with no benefit to anyone involved in the process.
Having said that, I would like to go back in history and recover some special moments in our evolution of mankind when humanity discovered and learned some truly important lessons.
I will start with this particular one, since history has broken it down to the details; it was not a simple conclusion. There had to be a convention which took place with the best minds at work. This is how it officially went down in the books:
“A long time ago, much before the human body was organized and educated, the brain, which is the human organ that does not do anything but think, and remember facts to control the other organs, was bored and at the same time irritated. The reason being: some organs were becoming too independent.
The heart seemed to be the main problem, for he was unbound and happy, because he had suddenly realized he had feelings and was starting to make moves on his own: he said he was in love. As a consequence the nerve started to become numb and was not doing its job, which is to bring the brain the gossip of the community. The stomach was not digesting very well anymore, the lungs could not breathe properly, and a whole list of anomalies started to happen everywhere. The body was a mess and the brain realized that he was losing control! The other organs were no longer acting according to his rules. It was time to make a move, so he asked for a meeting with everyone present, no exceptions!
I don’t have to tell you that the meeting did not go very well. No organ wanted to be there, they were all out of focus, the heart only sang and whatever he said made no sense at all, the blood was cold and distant, the skin was sweating in buckets and the tongue was dry with nothing to say. The brain very quickly realized he had a more serious situation unfolding before him, much worse than he had foreseen. Let’s remember that although the brain had different levels of control over most of the body organs he did not wish to let them know how powerful he really was, and at the same time he had to do something to restore control. So he did what any common reasoning dictator would do, he suggested an election.
His suggestion was that it was time for the body to establish a leader. With a leader it would be easier to get things done without succumbing to constant “moods” when the whole body lost focus and wasted a lot of energy. Although the heart was still singing and smelling flowers he had enough energy to scream “this is a conspiracy” but, in the end, as a whole, everyone agreed that it was time for a leader to come forward. Of course, everyone was thinking THEY should be the one. The ego was euphoric, he had no doubt this election idea was pure destiny, everyone would finally recognize his natural talents.
So a forum convened for anyone to defend their case. The first to make a campaign speech was the brain who had the obvious statement, that he was the only organ with any common sense, and that thinking was all he did, therefore he should be the leader. The lung had a very strong argument that without air nothing would work and everyone would die. The blood had his turn to defend his point and was quick to say without oxygen he provided no one would last a day. This went on for days, and everyone was anxious to stand in the pulpit and make their case.
I must add that they were quite organized, and each one did not take long to make their point. Of course the ego had to be dragged down after twenty minutes, and the penis, who tried to make his point, but could not find a word to say, and ran away ashamed of himself desperate to find a hole in which to stick his head.
They felt the first wave at 2:00 pm, right when the colon was making his point of how important he was (though it was hard to concentrate and listen with all that smell). It was a strong shaking, similar to an earthquake, and everyone in the room felt it. The brain not only felt it but was starting to feel dizzy, he looked at the skin and it was pale and sweating. They tried to continue, the stomach was the next one to speak in the pulpit, but all he had was hot air. Something was really wrong, and no one was well when the second wave hit even harder, making the tongue swell, and the mouth spit.
It did not take long for the nerve to grasp the gossip going around; the organizers had made a terrible mistake and forgotten completely about inviting one of the organs: The asshole.
The gossip spread like fire, and a whole new discussion was on its way. While the organizers discussed if an asshole was an organ or not, a commission led by the brain was on their way to talk to the ass, which would be the natural mediator in such negotiations, but he did not want to pick a side, he was divided.
The asshole did wouldn’t talk to anyone, that mouth was dead silent and blue with anger. Silence was his strategy. By the sixth day the organs did not feel very well at all. The ass continued in his silence and was determined to hold tight till his demands were accepted.
By the tenth day everyone agreed that they had to accept the asshole’s demands if they wanted to survive.
And that my friends, is how it went down in the books. An important moment in history when human kind realized that, to be a leader or “the boss”, you don’t have to be anything more than a stubborn asshole.
